Early Intervention
“Every child deserves the opportunity to realise their own unique potential.”
What Early Intervention Looks Like at Little Hearts & Minds
At Little Hearts & Minds, we provide targeted, evidence-based early intervention to support children aged 2 to 7 years, helping them build foundational skills across all areas of development. As an Early Childhood Specialist, we understand the importance of identifying and addressing challenges early to set children up for lifelong success.
Our early intervention supports are designed to meet the unique needs of each child, providing individualized care in a safe and inclusive environment. Tailored to support children in their developmental journey, we offer one-on-one sessions that focus on building key skills in a nurturing space, allowing for personalized attention and growth. This approach ensures that every child receives the support they need to thrive at their own pace, while empowering parents seeking an environment where their child can feel secure and valued.
An overview of our process
Initial Consultation & Personalized Plan
We begin with a planning meeting to understand your child’s background, strengths, and current areas of need. This collaborative discussion helps us identify key focus areas such as communication, motor skills, cognitive development, and social-emotional growth. From there, we create a personalized intervention plan, outlining specific, achievable goals tailored to your child’s individual development.
Individualised Support in a Nurturing Setting
Each child’s learning journey is unique, which is why we offer one-on-one intervention sessions in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. Our sessions are designed to be:
Targeted – Focused on your child's specific needs
Play-Based – Encouraging learning through hands-on experiences
Structured Yet Flexible – Adapting to each child's progress and interests
Sessions can take place in:
Our purposefully designed intervention space
Preschools, kindergartens, schools, and childcare settings
Ongoing Support & Family Collaboration
At Little Hearts & Minds, we believe in a holistic approach—working closely with families to ensure children continue developing their skills beyond our sessions. We provide regular updates, progress monitoring, and practical strategies to support learning at home, ensuring a consistent and effective approach.
NDIS Funding & Support
At Little Hearts & Minds, we are proud to support families accessing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Our services are available to children who are self-managed or plan-managed, providing tailored early intervention to help them build essential skills in a supportive and nurturing environment. We work closely with families to align our sessions with their child’s NDIS goals, ensuring they receive high-quality, evidence-based support designed to promote confidence, independence, and meaningful progress. If you’re unsure about how NDIS funding can support your child’s development, we’re happy to guide you through the process.
Early intervention is about more than just skills—it’s about empowering children to engage with the world around them with confidence and curiosity. Whether your child needs extra guidance, structured intervention, or simply a safe space to grow at their own pace, we are here to help them flourish in every aspect of their development.

Our Approach & Areas of Support
A Whole-Child Approach to Learning and Development
At Little Hearts & Minds, we are passionate about supporting the development of the whole child. We believe that true learning encompasses more than just academics, which is why our hands-on, play-based experiences are designed to nurture cognitive, social, emotional, physical, sensory, and communication skills. Within our supportive small group environment, children are encouraged to grow in confidence, resilience, and independence. Our holistic approach helps each child feel valued, supported, and ready to thrive—both in the classroom and in everyday life.

“Early intervention gives children the specialised support they need to grow, thrive, reach their full potential and participate in their communities. It also helps families support their children’s development.”
